Model 209.365/375/376/465/475/476, Up to VIN F044548 or T000607 Creaking Noise from Upper Center Console Area

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles regarding a creaking noise from the upper center console area, this may be due to the center console trim panels rubbing against the center console (Figure 1 for 203 or Figure 2 for 209, arrows).

1. Remove radio and AC push button panels, refer to WIS document AR82.60-P-7502P or AR82.60-P-7502PA for 203 and AR82.60-P-7502Q or AR82.60-P-7502QA for 209. It is not necessary to disconnect any electrical connectors, just pull the panels slightly outward.

2. Lightly lubricate the edges of the center console trim panels (Figure 1 for 203, arrows) (Figure 2 for 209, arrows) which come in contact with the center console.

3. Reinstall radio and AC push button panels, refer to WIS document AR82.60-P-7502P or AR82.60- P-7502PA for 203 and AR82.60-P-7502Q or AR82.60-P-7502QA for 209.
