Rattling Noises from Front Axle





If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of rattling noises from front axle, the cause may be that the blind hole in the frame for mounting the stiffening plate may be too shallow (Figure 1, A). As a result, noise complaints due to the insufficient clamping force on the stiffening plate is possible. If this situation is found to exist, remove the bolts, install a 6 mm washer, reinstall the bolts and torque to a value of 12 Nm.
