AN82.64-P-0001-05Q Expand Fiber Optic Cable Ring For Component To Be Retrofitted
- with CODE (386) Preinstallation for telephone"Handy", UPCI system
- with CODE (388) Telephone "Handy", UPCI system
- with CODE (810) Sound system

1 Remove the MOST couplings (11) of both MOST fiber optic cables ordered.
2 Remove blue retaining clip (15) from the two MOST carrier elements (13, 14).
3 Install exposed insert of fiber optic cable module (9) of the first MOST fiber optic cable into chamber 2 (output, see arrow) of MOST carrier element (14) of the second MOST fiber optic cable.

Fiber optic cable module (9) must latch audibly.

4 Install blue locking clip (15) into the MOST carrier element (14)
5 Clip MOST carrier element (14) into MOST coupling (11).

MOST coupling (11) will be connected to the CD player with changer (in glove compartment) (A2/6) later.

6 Unlock catch lug on MOST carrier element (13) and remove fiber optic cable module (9) from the MOST carrier element (13).

MOST carrier element (13) and second MOST coupling (11) are no longer required.

7 Adhere felt tapes (20, 21) to fiber optic cable modules (8, 9) according to dimensions.
8 Adhere a felt tape (21) to each of the fiber optic cable modules (8, 9).

Fiber optic cable module (8) must be inserted into the input of MOST coupling (11) with the other end.

Component Identification:

9 Unclip cover (12) from adapter coupling (10) ordered in direction of arrows.
10 Install fiber optic cable module (8) in adapter coupling (10).

Fiber optic cable module (8) must audibly engage.

Shown on model 203
11 Route fiber optic cable modules (8, 9) with MOST coupling (11) through the cutout into the glove compartment.

Risk of breakage: Do not kink fiber optic cable and do not route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm. Tensile forces on inserts must not exceed 65 N. Do not squeeze fiber optic cable and do not compress with clamps or cable ties.

Shown on model 203
12 Remove black 2-pin MOST coupling (18) from black 44-pin radio coupling (2).

Risk of breakage: Do not kink fiber optic cable and do not route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm. Tensile forces on inserts must not exceed 65 N. Do not squeeze fiber optic cable and do not compress with clamps or cable ties.

13 Unclip blue retaining clip (17) from the black, 2-pin MOST connector (18).
14 Unlatch catch lug, remove fiber optic cable module (7) from black 2-pin MOST coupling (18) and install in adapter coupling (10).

Fiber optic cable module (7) must latch audibly.

15 Clip cover (12) on adapter coupling (10) and wind felt tape around.

16 Install fiber optic cable module (9) into chamber 1 (input) of black 2-pin MOST coupling (18).

Fiber optic cable module (9) must latch audibly.

17 Install blue retaining clip (17) into black 2-pin MOST coupling (18).
18 Install black 2-pin MOST coupling (18) into black 16-pin coupling of radio (2).

Risk of breakage: Do not kink fiber optic cable and do not route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm. Tensile forces on inserts must not exceed 65 N. Do not squeeze fiber optic cable and do not compress with clamps or cable ties.
