Preparation of the wiring harness
1 Disconnect the branch-off line (1) with 3-pin black connector (9) for the CD player with changer (in glove compartment) (A2/6) from the voltage supply wiring harness (3).
The branch-off line (1) is the voltage supply for the CD player with changer (in glove compartment) (A2/6). The remaining wiring harness (3) is no longer required.
2 Remove adhesive tape (2).

Wiring harness specified status
3 Wrap power supply wiring harness (1) with felt tape (8).
4 Check assignment of the black 2-pin connector on voltage supply wiring harness (1).
Component Identification:
Specified state:
- Chamber 1: red/pink line (rt/rs) or red/black line (rt/sw)
- Chamber 2: brown line (br)
- Chamber 3: Blue/black line (bl/sw)
5 Strip off brown line (br) and red/pink line (rt/rs) at the voltage supply wiring harness (1).
6 Separate insulation of the on-board vehicle radio wiring harness (6) approx. 50 mm from the black 44-pin connector (10) for the radio and navigation unit (A2/56).
7 Cut brown line (br) of the vehicle's own radio wiring harness (6).
8 Strip both ends of the brown line (br) of the vehicle's own radio wiring harness (6) and connect to the brown line (br) of the power supply wiring harness (1) using a solder connector (4).
The solder connector (4) is available in the wiring harness repair set.
9 Separate the red/blue line (rt/bl) of the on-board vehicle radio wiring harness (6).
10 Strip off both ends of the red/blue line (rt/bl) of the on-board vehicle radio wiring harness (6) and connect with the red/pink line (rt/rs) of the voltage supply wiring harness (1) using a solder connector (4).
11.1 For vehicles with the blue/black wakeup line (bl/sw) in chamber 16 of the black 44-pin connector (10) for the radio and navigation unit (A2/56): Connect the blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) from the voltage supply wiring harness (1) with the blue/black wakeup line (bl/sw) from the on-board vehicle radio wiring harness (6) using a voltage distributor (5).
The voltage distributor (5) is available in the wiring harness repair set.
11.2 For vehicles without the blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) in chamber 16 of the black 44-pin connector (10) for the radio and navigation unit (A2/56):
- Strip the blue/black wake-up line (bl/ sw) from the voltage supply wiring harness (1).
- Connect MCP-2.8 contact (3) to the blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw).
Take the MCP-2.8 contact from the wiring harness repair set.
12 For vehicles without the blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) in chamber 16 of the black 44-pin connector (10) for the radio and navigation unit (A2/56):
- Press interlock (7) with pulling hook in the direction of the arrow out of the black, 44-pin connector (10) for the radio and navigation unit (A2/56) and remove.
- Install the blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) with the MCP-2.8 contact in chamber 16 of the black 44-pin connector (10) for the radio and navigation unit (A2/56).
The blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) muss audibly engage.
- Mount interlock (7) back into the black, 44-pin connector (10) for the radio and navigation unit (A2/56).
13 Use a small flat tip screwdriver to break out the perforation in the glove compartment (see arrow).
