AN82.61-P-7474-04QA Retrofit Antenna For Global Positioning System (GPS)

1 Unscrew screws (6) from cover (7).










2 Tape one layer of felt tape to the bottom of the GPS antenna (A2/23).

Do not glue felt tape to the covering foil (top of antenna).

3 Wind felt tape around antenna line (2) of GPS antenna (A2/23).
4 Wind felt tape around adapter line (1).

Adapter line (1) is connected later to antenna line (2).

5 Remove laminate film from GPS antenna (A2/23).







6 Glue GPS antenna (A2/23) under cover (7) to the right side of the instrument panel.

The GPS antenna's (A2/23) opening (top side of antenna) must face the windshield.

7 Route antenna line (2) into the radio recess and secure in place using felt strips (8).
8 Connect antenna line (2) of GPS antenna (A2/23) to adapter line (1).

Adapter line (1) must audibly engage.

9 Wind felt tape around connector (3).

Blue coupling (5) of adapter line (1) is coded and later connected to the MB Audio 50 APS radio or COMAND system.

10 Reconnect cover (7) with screws (6).
