AR54.18-P-0100IB Repairing Wiring Harness
- DC fan wiring harness


Removing
1 Disconnect ground cable of battery
2 Remove right headlamp unit
3 Unplug electrical connector from suction fan
4 Remove lower engine compartment lining

NOTE: Right front.

5 Remove suction fan control module (N65/2)

NOTE: Replace suction fan control module (N65/2).

6 Expose fan wiring harness branch-off line
7 Cut fan wiring harness branch-off line in area of headlamp and insulate

NOTE: Use cable shears to cut the wires.

8 Unpin wire (black, 10 sq. mm) from right front fuse and relay module (K40/7)

NOTE: White 10-pin plug, pin 2.

9 Cut wire (black, 10 sq. mm) at branch-off line and insulate

Installing
10 Pin wire (black, 10 sq. mm) from repair wiring harness in right front fuse and relay module (K40/7)

NOTE: White 10-pin plug, pin 2.

11 Attach wire (black, 10 sq. mm) from repair wiring harness to engine wiring harness with cable straps

NOTE: Do not open the existing wiring harness.

12 Connect wire (black/violet, 0.5 sq. mm) and wire (yellow/blue, 0.5 sq. mm) with repair wiring harness

NOTE: Use green cable connectors.

13 Screw ground lead (brown, 10 sq. mm) from repair wiring harness to ground point (W3/6, bottom right in wheelhousing)
14 Insulate all newly installed wires and cable connectors with fabric tape
15 Install suction fan control module (N65/2)
16 Route fan repair wiring harness and connect
17 Install right headlamp unit
18 Reconnect ground lead to battery
19 Read and erase fault memory
- Stored faults which can result from cables being disconnected or from simulation during removal and installation or test work, have to be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work.
20 Check function of fan.
