Location
The driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory is located on the seat frame of the driver seat.

Task
- Control of the seat and steering column adjustment via interior CAN as per the requests
- Storing the memory settings for seat, steering column, and outside mirror
- Control of the easy entry/exit feature
- Actuation of head restraint presetting (not ECE and UK)

Reading in of sensors and signals

These input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN

Direct line
- Circuit 30
- Circuit 31

The following sensors are read in via direct lines:
- Hall sensors of seat adjustment motors
- Hall sensors of steering column adjustment motors
- Driver seat backrest release microswitch (S91/3)
- Driver seat height release microswitch (S91/4)

Interior CAN
- Left front door seat adjustment switch group (memory) (S91/2) or right front door seat adjustment switch group (memory) (S92/2)
- Steering column adjustment switch (S59) from steering column tube module (N80)

Evaluation of input factors
The input factors read in are evaluated by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory. The actuation of the motors for seat and steering column adjustment takes place via integrated relays.

Actuation of components
The actuation of the components takes place via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN

Direct line
The following motors are actuated via direct lines:
- Steering column adjustment motor group (M20)
- Driver seat adjustment motor group with memory (M27)

Interior CAN
- Signals for actuating the memory positions of the outside mirrors to the left front door control unit (N69/1) and the right front door control unit (N69/2)
