Removing And Installing Complete Exhaust System






1 Separate plug connection of 02 sensor upstream and downstream of catalytic converter
2 Unscrew nuts (11/2) at exhaust bracket (10)

NOTE: Support exhaust system, for example with inspection pit lift.

CAUTION: Installation: replace self-locking nuts.

3 Unbolt ground straps (14,15) at middle and rear mufflers
4 Unscrew bolts (11/1) at flange connection of front exhaust system/exhaust manifold
- If bolts are stiff or thread damaged, replace rivet nuts in exhaust manifold.a

6 Unbolt rubber pads (9/1) of middle muffler
7 Detach rear muffler from rubber pads (9/1) and take off exhaust system
8 Install in the reverse order.
