Removing And Installing Three-Way Catalytic Converter Or Front Exhaust System






1 Separate plug connection of O2 sensor upstream and downstream of catalytic converter
2 Unscrew nuts (11/2) at exhaust bracket (10)

NOTE: Support exhaust system, for example with inspection pit lift.

CAUTION: Installation: replace self-locking nuts.

3 Separate plug connections (12/1,12/2)
4 Unscrew bolts (11/1) at flange connection of front exhaust system/exhaust manifold
- If bolts are stiff or thread damaged, replace rivet nuts in exhaust manifold.

5 Install in the reverse order

NOTE: Install exhaust system free of stress.
