Check Engine Light with Various Codes / Oil Leaking from Engine Wiring Harness
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the check engine light being activated and one or more various DTCs are stored in the engine control unit and/or of oil leaking from the wiring harness at the O2 sensor, air mass sensor, engine ECU or at any engine wiring harness connection, perform the remedy below to resolve. This may be caused by oil leakage at the camshaft adjustment solenoid resulting in oil seeping into the wiring harness.
1. Replace the camshaft adjuster solenoid.
2. Install adapter cable (Figure 1) and secure with tie strap (Figure 2).
