Vario Roof Load Assist Switch, Function






By actuating the load assist switch (S114) the lowered Vario roof can be raised or lowered in the trunk.

A combined illumination and function indicator light is installed in the load assist switch (S114):
- For normal illumination the light intensity is permanently set to 20 percent, when the Vario roof is put down with the trunk open (evaluation via bottom load assist limit switch (S117).
- For function indication the light is permanently switched to 100 % intensity when the Vario roof has been raised with the trunk lid open.

NOTE: If an attempt is made to close the trunk lid, the LED in the load assist switch (S114) starts to flash at a frequency of f = 1 Hz.
