Central Locking Emergency Unlocking, Function
Central Locking Emergency Opening, Function
The emergency opening function unlocks the doors of the vehicle after an accident.
A crash sensor is installed in the pneumatic control module with combined functions (A37). The emergency opening function is activated when the vehicle accelerates with more than 6 g.
An acceleration of 6 g corresponds to a collision against a solid wall with a speed of about 25 km/h.
After a waiting time of about 11 seconds, the pneumatic control module with combined functions (A37) pneumatically unlocks all the doors of the vehicle. In addition, the trunk lid lock is unlocked pneumatically and, via the passenger compartment CAN, the remote trunk release switch (S15) is activated at the driver's door.
The anti-theft alarm (ATA) is not deactivated
The emergency opening function is canceled, i.e. the last locking state is reestablished when circuit 15 off is recognized for at least two seconds.
NOTE: The emergency opening function overrides all other central locking functions.
