The Keyless Go system (KG) allows access to the vehicle and starting the vehicle engine without using the transmitter key (A8/1). It is sufficient to just carry the transmitter key. A8/1


Unlock

The vehicle can be unlocked by:
^ Reaching into a door handle (signal from left door capacitive sensor (S47b1) or right door capacitive sensor (S48b1))
^ Pulling a door handle (signal from left door pull contact microswitch (S47s1) or right door pull contact microswitch (S48s1))
^ Pulling trunk lid handle (signal from trunk lid exterior actuation switch (S88/8))
Unlocks only trunk lid.

Lock

The vehicle can be locked by:
- Actuating left door push contact (S47s2) or right door push contact (S48s2) on one Actuating trunk lid Keyless Go button (S62/21) next to trunk lid handle door handle
- Actuating trunk lid Keyless Go button (S62/21) next to trunk lid handle

The anti-theft alarm system (ATA) is activated while locking and deactivated while unlocking.

Start and switch off engine
The motor can be started or switched off by pressing the Keyless Go start/stop button (S2/3) on the selector lever, if the transmitter key is in the vehicle interior A8/1.
