Wiper Arm: Service and Repair

AR82.30-P-6100Q Remove/Install Wiper Arm












Remove

DANGER!
Risk of injury in the form of trapping or crushing, or even severing of limbs, if caught in windshield wiper mechanism
- Always remove ignition key when working on windshield wiper mechanism.

1 Move wiper arms to park position
2 Open engine hood
3 Unscrew nuts (1)
4 Remove wiper arm on passenger side (2)
5 Unscrew nut (3)
6 Remove wiper arm on driver-side (4)

Install
7 Put wiper arm on driver-side (4) onto wiper bearing cone

NOTE: The wiper blade has to rest directly on A markings in screen printing of the windshield

8 Screw on nut (3)
- Nut on wiper arm = 20 Nm
9 Put wiper arm on passenger side (2) onto wiper bearing cone

NOTE: The wiper blade has to rest directly on marking B in screen printing of the windshield.

10 Screw on nuts (1)
- Nut on wiper arm = 20 Nm
11 Close engine hood
12 Check for proper function
