AR82.30-P-6100-01Q Adjust Wiper Arms
Wiper Arm Test And Adjustment Values:
Special Tools:
The adjustment of the angle of incidence of the wiper arms is always done in parked position, and only if the test values deviate from the tolerance range in reverse position or in parked position and reverse position. While doing so, the wiper arm is at least distorted by the value of the tolerance deviation in reverse position.
The specified adjustment values are only valid for left-hand drive vehicles. For right-hand drive vehicles, the particular sign has to be changed.
1 Remove adjuster lever (Y) from the adjustment tool set.
2 Unscrew lever (Y.3) from the tapping plate (Y.1) and remove spacer (Y.2).
3 Remove adjuster lever (X) from the adjustment tool set.
4 Unscrew lever (X.3) from the tapping plate (X.1) and remove spacer (X.2).

5 Lift wiper arm to be adjusted, insert tapping plate (Y.1) from below into the upper elongated hole of the wiper arm and counterhold.
6 Put spacer (Y.2) on the upper elongated hole of the wiper arm and screw lever (Y.3) to the tapping plate (Y.1).

7 Insert tapping plate (X.1) into the lower elongated hole of the wiper arm and counterhold.
8 Put spacer (X.2) on the lower elongated hole of the wiper arm and screw lever (X.3) to the tapping plate (X.1).

9 Clamp choke angle gauge (A) tight to wiper arm to be adjusted.
10 Lower wiper arm until all three jacking points of the choke angle gauge foot (A) touch the windshield.
The wiper arms are distorted with the aid of the adjuster lever (Y). The adjuster lever (X) is used as a counterholder.
11 Press the adjuster lever (Y) into the required direction until the wiper arm is at least distorted by the value of the tolerance deviation in reverse position.
12 Read angle of incidence of adjusted wiper arm on the dial of the choke angle gauge (A) and record.
13 Remove choke angle gauge (A) and the adjuster levers (X,Y) from the adjusted wiper arm.
