- Bolted rear axle


Half shells (2 pieces) for pressing off or for caulking the inner constant velocity joint

Special Tools:




Component Identification:





Push off constant velocity joint
1 For pressing off use the two shop-made shell halves (063a) and the drift (063).
2 Clean constant velocity joint.





Press on constant velocity joint (constant velocity joint with knurling)
3.1 Press constant velocity joint onto rear axle shaft so that the knurling (arrow) on the circumference of the joint ring points in the direction of the rear axle shaft.





Press on constant velocity joint (constant velocity joint without knurling)
3.2 Press constant velocity joint onto rear axle shaft so that the turned groove (arrow) points in the direction of the rear axle shaft.





4 Select clamping jaw for rear axle shaft- [diameter] 25 mm, 27 mm or [diameter] 32 mm.
5 Fit clamping jaws on boot collar of rear axle shaft and press constant velocity joint onto rear axle shaft up to contact surface using drift (arrow).
