GF54.50-P-0001-02QA Trip Computer (TRIP), Networking of Components

GF54.50-P-0001-02QA Trip Computer (TRIP), Networking Of Components
- with CODE (245) Trip computer

Function overview
The trip computer is integrated in the instrument cluster (A1). The instrument cluster (A1) is connected to the:
^ Engine compartment CAN
^ Interior CAN

Data is exchanged with almost all the control units via the two bus systems.

However, the instrument cluster (A1) does not serve an interface between the two data bus systems. This function is reserved for the EIS [EZS] control module (N73).

Basically it concerns the following information:
^ The kilometers driven
^ The fuel consumption signal
^ The time information
^ The current quantity of fuel available

The airbag indicator and warning lamp (A1e15) is not actuated via the CAN data bus but via a discrete line.

Reception messages for the multifunction display (A1p13)
All signals for the messages in the multifunction display (A1p13) are received over the engine compartment CAN or interior CAN.

The signal paths and further details on various messages can be gleaned from the function descriptions of the systems in question.
