Remove/install Left Or Right Front Axle Speed Sensor







Remove/Install

DANGER:
- Lethal injuries are possible If vehicle slips off of lifting platform
- Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
- Risk of explosion from hydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury to eyes and skin suffering caustic burns from battery electrolyte or from contact with damaged lead acid batteries.
- No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

1 Disconnect ground cable of battery

2 Remove front road wheel

NOTE: Left or right. Refer to Remove/Install wheels, rotate if necessary

3 Release connector (1) and disconnect
4 Take apart connector (1)
5 Expose cable (2) up to the left front speed sensor (L6/1)
6 Unscrew bolt (3)

CAUTION: Replace bolt. A reused bolt could loosen and cause damage.

7 Remove left front speed sensor (L6/1)
8 Install in the reverse order
9 Perform basic programming
10 Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase
- Refer to connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory.
