DANGER!
Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Wear protective gloves, acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

1 Disconnect ground lead of battery
2 Remove mirror glass
3 Unscrew screws (1)
4 Remove mirror adjustment motor

NOTE:
- Mirror adjustment raise/lower motor (M21/1m1).
- Mirror adjustment in/out motor (M21/1m2).
- Mirror adjustment raise/lower motor (M21/2m1).
- Mirror adjustment in/out motor (M21/2m2).

5 Disconnect connector (2) from outside rearview mirror
6 Install in the reverse order
7 Perform basic programming
8 Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase
9 Check for proper function
