Function
The outside mirrors can be folded in (garage position) with the outside mirror folding switch (S1s2) and folded back out into the driving position with the outside mirror fold-out switch (S1s3). When the outside mirror fold back switch (S1s2) is actuated, the information is relayed via the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) via the CAN class B bus. During adjustment, the left door control unit (N69/1) has the master function.
The left door control module (N69/1) actuates the mirror fold-in motor (M21/1m3) in the left electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/1) and relays the request to the right door control module (N69/2), which actuates the mirror fold-in motor (M21/2m3) in the right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2)
When the outside mirror fold-out switch (S1s3) is actuated, the outside mirror housings can be moved back to the driving position.Data flow and actuation are accomplished analogously to folding in.
The actuation time of the folding motors depends on the temperature and increases with decreasing temperature. The mirror fold-in/out function is interrupted when the mirror lens is adjusted manually. Actuation of the mirror folding motors is continued for the remaining operation time after completion of the manual adjustment request.
