Front and Rear Door Lock Knob





If you receive customer report in the above model vehicles of the front or rear door lock knob jumping up and down, check the position of the sealing boot on the rod for the door lock knob, as it enters the plastic lock housing. The boot may be compressed as shown in Figures 1 and 2. Follow the below procedure to resolve.

1. Grease the rod in the area directly above the boot, use Special Sliding Compound (A000 989 36 60).

2. Pull the boot out of the plastic lock housing





3. Extend the boot and reinstall the boot in the plastic lock housing (Figures 3 and 4)

4. Ensure that the boot remains fully extended after installation (Figures 3 and 4)
