GF82.60-P-3115-04QKU Radio Control Panel, Function

GF82.60-P-3115-04QKU Radio Control Panel, Function

The control buttons and switches of the function keypad of the radio (A2) are read in by the microcontroller and supplied to the central computer. The actuations of the buttons and switches are processed in the central computer and transmitted over the Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) or the Controller Area Network Bus Class B (interior) (CAN-B) in the form of a data telegram. If the "ON" button on the combination push and rotary button is pressed, the radio (A2) switches on. In each case the volume can be regulated with the pushbutton rotary switch for the audio source active. The main function keys switch over to the audio source desired by the user.
If the user presses the "Sound setting" function key, the following presettings can be changed:
^ Base
^ Treble
^ Balance
^ Fader
^ Volume
^ Information channel
^ Acoustics

Using the "Mute" function button, the audio source currently being listened to is muted. The output signal from the radio (A2) is suppressed, and the CD disk drive goes into pause mode. The following function groups are displayed on the display of the radio (A2):
^ Autostore
^ Automatic station search
^ Traffic information (regional)
^ Select and playback CD tracks randomly (Random)
^ CD track repeat
^ Skip empty band

The number block can be used for the following:
^ Entering required telephone number
^ Calling up or saving a radio station
^ Direct entry of a radio frequency
^ Selecting a CD
^ Direct entry of a CD track

The cross-shaped rocker button can be used, for example, for searching in the telephone book or to carry out permanently programmed commands for the respective function level. If the user presses one of the two "Search" function keys, this function is carried out in the current function level.

CD drive
A CD player is integrated into the radio (A2). All sound and volume adjustments are made via the rotary pushbutton of the radio (A2).

Brightness setting
To be able to see the information in the display better, a continuously variable brightness adjustment is possible using the cross-shaped rocker button.

Diagnosis
The radio (A2) has its own fault memory for storing faults that occur during operation. When the fault memory is called up using STAR DIAGNOSIS, the diagnostic data are sent via MOST to the radio (A2) as an interface to the CAN-B and relayed to the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73). The diagnostic data can then be read out at the data link connector (X11/4).
