Preparing wiring harness
1 Disconnect the voltage distributor connector (CAN) (X30/7) from the CD changer voltage supply wiring harness (1) and insulate (is no longer required).
2 Disconnect the wake-up signal connector (X30/8) from the CD changer voltage supply wiring harness (1) and insulate (is no longer required).
3 Remove the brown/red and brown lines of the CD changer voltage supply wiring harness (1) from the black 10-pin coupling for the radio (2).
- Chamber 1 brown cable
- Chamber 2 brown cable







4 Insulate and strap down the brown/red and brown lines (no longer required).

The blue/black line (bl/sw) must not be removed.

Wiring harness specified status
5 Connect both blue/black lines (bl/sw) from the CD changer voltage supply wiring harness (1) to each other via a voltage distributor (10).







6 Remove the brown/red line (br/rt), the brown line (br) and the blue/black lines (bl/sw) of the radio series production wiring harness from the black 10-pin coupling for the radio (2).
- Chamber 1 brown/red line (br/rt)
- Chamber 2 brown line (br)
- Chamber 4 blue/black line (bl/sw)

The black 10-pin coupling for the radio (2) of the radio series production wiring harness is no longer required.







7 Install the removed brown/red line (br/rt) and the brown line (br) of the radio series production wiring harness in the black 10-pin coupling for the radio (2) of the CD changer voltage supply wiring harness (1).
- Chamber 1 brown/red line (br/rt)
- Chamber 2 brown line (br)

8 Connect the blue/black line (bl/sw) of the radio voltage supply series production wiring harness with a voltage distributor to the blue/black line (bl/sw) of the CD changer voltage supply wiring harness (1).







9 Use a knife to cut out the perforation in the glove compartment (see arrow).







10 Route the black 3-pin coupling of the CD changer voltage supply wiring harness (1) as per the figure behind the instrument panel carrier through the breakthrough into the glove compartment.
