Amplifier: Service and Repair



AR82.62-P-7720P Remove/Install Loudspeaker Amplifier Control Unit
- with CODE (810) Sound system

DANGER:
Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Wear protective gloves, acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.


1 Disconnect ground cable of battery
2 Remove right side paneling in trunk
3 Unscrew nuts (2)
4 Detach sound amplifier (A2/13) from mounting frame
5 Disconnect fiber optic cable connector (3) Notes on fiber optic cable

CAUTION: Do not kink or stretch the D2B fiber optic cable.

NOTE: Install caps on fiber optic cable connector and equipment connection.

6 Disconnect coupling (4)
7 Install in the reverse order
8 Perform basic programming

NOTE: Only if no quiescent current retention device has been used

9 Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase
10 Check for proper function
