GF82.70-P-3000QM Dialing, Function
- with CODE (386) Preinstallation for "portable CTEL" UPCI telephone system
- with CODE (813) Voice control sytem (VCS [SBS])
- with CODE (388) "Portable CTEL" UPCI telephone system

Function requirements:
^ Subscriber Identification Module (SIM)card inserted
^ Personal Identification Number (PIN) entered
^ Network present
^ System Universal Handy Interface (UHI) ready

Once the voice control system (VCS) is activated via the VCS [SBS] switch (S93/2) the user has several options to make a desired connection using the the following voice commands. User voice commands with numbers which are stored or not stored:
^ "Dial telephone number"
^ "Dial number"
^ "Dial name"
^ "Listen to phone book"

User voice command at the end:
^ "Dial"
^ "Store"

Once activated, if the user has spoken a voice command, e.g. "Dial number" or "Dial telephone number", the user is requested by the VCS to enter a telephone number via the voice output "Please say the number".
Should a fault have occurred during the input of the desired telephone number, e.g. fault ID of a digit by the VCS or erroneous input by the user, then the latter has the option of deleting or correcting the telephone number.
If the number is entered without an error and taken over correctly by the VCS, the VCS voice output "The number is dialed"and the connection is made follows in response to the user's voice command "Dial". If after the input of the desired telephone is complete the user would like to have it permanently available, instead of the voice command "Dial" he must say the voice command "Store". Thereupon the VCS requests the user to enter the desired name through the spoken announcement "Please say the name". After this has been entered by the user, the VCS requests the user to repeat the name as confirmation.

After this the telephone number and associated name are stored in the phone book with the voice output "Name and number are stored".

The entries stored in the telephone book can only be called up reliably by the users who store them.

A name already stored in the telephone book can be called up using the voice command "Dial name". To this end, the VCS requests the user to say the desired name With the voice command "Listen to the phone book" it is possible to have the telephone book read aloud by the VCS, in order to than operate the VCS [SBS] switch (S93/2) for the desired names. With this voice command it is also possible to "search" in the telephone book. The voice command "Listen to the telephone book" is also used, if the VCS has difficulties in recognizing a name requested by the user per voice input. The name, if it is already in the phone book, can be selected and the connection made in this way.

With the two dialing options listed here the user voice command "Dial" is superfluous. After the name has been repeated by the VCS, the user is informed by the voice output feature that the "number is being dialed" and that the call is completed.
Should the desired telephone numbers not be available for the dialing options listed (e.g. the desired connection is engaged) then it is possible for the user, after terminating the dialing process and again activating the VCS, to dial the telephone number last dialed again with the voice command "Redial".
During the respective dial options there is the possibility for the user at any time, to break off the dialogue with the VCS, either by operating the VCS [SBS] switch (S93/2) or by the voice command "Abort".
If a fault is detected by the VCS or the user makes an incorrect input, then the user can correct the number in 3 ways using the following voice commands:
^ "Delete"
^ "Delete number"
^ "Delete telephone number"

This means that all the previously entered digits are deleted and the VCS communicates to the user "The number is deleted, please speak " and requests further digits or voice commands for input.

It is also possible to establish international calls via the VCS. Furthermore the control of the announcement services and operation of the mailbox is feasible.

Help function
The VCS contains a help feature in order to be able to render its operation as simple as possible. If the user is in dialogue with the telephone and says the voice command "Help", then the VCS reads aloud the most important voice commands relating to the telephone. If the user is in dialogue with the navigation system, then with the voice command "Help, telephone" he can change from the navigation system to the UHI system and in turn the VCS reads the most important voice commands aloud to him.
