Electrical - Suspension Message Displayed In Cluster

Display in Instrument Cluster "Air Suspension" or ABC - Service Required"

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that the message "Air Suspension" or "ABC - Service Required" is displayed in the instrument cluster, the engine wiring harness may have been damaged by the wiper linkage. Fault codes which would be present are C1000, C1132, C1133 or C1135.

1. Expose wiring harness in area of wiper linkage.





2. Remove 4 expansion rivets (Figure 1, 1).

3. Pull water deflector (Figure 1, 2) upwards out of the fold (Figure 1, arrow).

4. Check wiring harness for damage.

5. If the wiring harness is damaged, repair wiring harness.

6. Fasten wiring harness with tie straps.

NOTE:
Verify that the wiper linkage no longer contacts the harness.

7. Install water deflector.

8. Erase fault memory

NOTE:
