GF82.95-P-2003R Emergency Call Actuation, Function
- with CODE (855) TELE AID


A TELE AID emergency call can be triggered automatically or manually:
Manually with Star Diagnosis for diagnosis purposes.
^ Using the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3), if the vehicle itself has not been involved in an accident or the driver needs help.

Automatically,
^ via the restraint system control unit (N2/7) when an airbag/ sidebag is actuated or in the event of severe rear-end collision.
^ If the external tilting cone sensor (B66) detects a rollover and transmits it to the D2B telephone and TELE AID transmitter/ receiver (A35/17).
A TELE AID emergency call is completed when the service center terminates the voice connection.

Emergency call priority
The information how an emergency call is triggered is entered into the emergency call telegram generated by the D2B telephone and TELE AID transmitter/receiver (A35/17) .
The types of actuation have various priorities:
Highest priority:
1. Automatic emergency call
2. Manual emergency call using the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3)
3. Telediagnosis call with relevant button on telephone handset (A34)
4. MB-Info via a corresponding menu at the telephone handset (A34)

Lowest priority:
Telephone handset (A34) (see owner's manual)

If an emergency call is already active when an emergency is actuated this active call is terminated. The emergency call with the lower priority is not started.

If an emergency call with lower priority is already active when triggering, this call is interrupted and the emergency call with the higher priority is started.
