Transmission Slip in 4th Gear

If you encounter instances in Model 230.474 of transmission slipping in 4th gear at speeds of approximately 40 mph with light engine load and code P2500 stored in the transmission control module, please perform the following procedure.

^ Conduct a short test and verify that code P2500 is stored in the transmission control module.

^ If code P2500 is stored, print out all freeze frame data and retain with work order and perform the following steps.

^ Replace the transmission control module with part no. 033 545 85 32 26 (when ordering include VIN for correct version coding). Please refer to WIS document AR27.19-P-1719R for complete work instructions.

^ Replace the valve body (electrohydraulic control unit) with part no. 240 270 01 06. Please refer to WIS document AR27.19-P-0200A for complete work instructions.
