Light Warning For Parking Lights Switched On Automatically (Sensor Controlled), Function, Part 1:
Light Warning For Parking Lights Switched On Automatically (Sensor Controlled), Function, Part 2:
Light reminder functional sequence for manually actuated standing or headlamp
1 Basic prerequisite:
- The electronic key is located in the EIS control module's (N73) starter switch.
- The exterior lamp switch module (S1) is set to the "Parking lamp ON" or "headlamp ON" position.
- The signals
- "Key in starter switch",
- "Parking lamp ON" and
- "Left front door closed"
are present at the instrument cluster (A1).
2 The electronic key is removed from the starter switch.
3 The left front door is opened:
- The rear SAM control module (N10/8) recognizes the open door from the left door contact switch signal (S17/3) and transmits the signals "Door open" to the instrument cluster.
4 The instrument cluster senses the modified signal situation and triggers an optical and acoustic light warning in the instrument cluster because the signal "Parking lamp ON" from the left SAM control module (N10/10) is still present.
Light warning at parking lights or high-beams lights on after automatic (sensor controlled) switch on of headlamps, operational sequence
1 Prerequisites:
- Motor OFF, c. 61 OFF.
- The electronic key in the EIS control module's (N73) starter switch is in position "0" (terminal 15C).
- The exterior lamp switch (S1) is in position "Auto".
- The signals
- "C. 15C ON"
- "Parking lamp ON" or "High beams ON" and
- "Left front door closed" are still present at the instrument cluster (A1).
2 The left front door is opened:
- The rear SAM control module (N10/8) recognizes the open door from the left door contact switch signal (S17/3) and transmits the signals "Door open" to the instrument cluster.
3 The instrument cluster registers the change in the signal situation because of the
- "Parking lamp ON" or "headlamp ON" by left SAM control module (N10/10) and
- the "Terminal 15C ON" signal from the EIS control module (N73)
are still present, the optical and acoustic light warning in the instrument cluster off.
NOTE: The light warning is not triggered when the electronic key is in position "1" (c. 15R) o "2" (c. 15)
