Removal and Replacement



AR83.30-P-5540R Remove/Install Evaporator












1 Remove AC housing
2 Push up support (1) on evaporator housing
3 Unclip clamp (2) and withdraw sliding clamp (3)
4 Unplug electric connector (4) from actuator motor
5 Remove tie straps (5) on evaporator housing
6 Fold down right-hand side of evaporator housing and remove
7 Remove screw (6) on bracket (7) of coolant pipe and remove bracket (7)
8 Remove coolant pipe sealing (8)
9 Unclip clamps on housing base (9)

NOTE: Turn evaporator housing, until housing base is accessible.

10 Remove housing base
11 Remove evaporator (10)
12 Install in the reverse order

NOTE: Evacuate and charge air conditioning after installing the fluid reservoir. When doing so feed in new compressor oil to the refrigerant circuit; note the oil quantity.

- When replenishing the evaporator
Fill additional oil capacity of compressor oil into the air conditioning's refrigerant circuit: 40 cu.cm

13 Remove and install fluid reservoir.

CAUTION: Generally the fluid reservoir should be replaced when the refrigerant circuit has been opened.
