GF83.10-P-2174-01R Center And Lateral Nozzles Pushbutton Unit
- with CODE (581) Automatic air conditioning

Component Identification:

Function
The AAC center and lateral nozzles pushbutton unit (N18/2) is controlled by the AAC pushbutton control module (N22). The selector for the center nozzle air quantity (4) can be used to continuously vary a common opening or closing of the center nozzles.
The air quantity selector for the lateral nozzles at the left and right (5, 6) can be used to continuously open or close the left and right lateral nozzles separately.

The center nozzle is set to automatic mode , if neither the warm air button (7) or the cold air button (8) is pressed ( LED off). In automatic mode a regulated flow of air exits the center nozzle, which is somewhat cooler than the temperature value set on t h temperature selector wheel. The aim is to produce a stratification which ensures that the occupants have warm feet cool head.

The air direction can be controlled via the separately adjustable slats, the two hinge-mounted center nozzle and lateral nozzles as desired, either upwards, downwards to the left or right or even to the center.

Warm air button
pressing the warm air button (7), warm air flows to the center and lateral nozzles. The escaping air is at the temperature set on the AAC pushbutton control module (N22).

Cold air button
Pressing the cold air button (8) opens the diverter flap, thus enabling cold air to flow to the center and lateral nozzles. The escaping air is colder than the temperature set on the AAC pushbutton control module (N22).
