The vehicle must be horizontal for at least 5 minutes with an engine which is switched off and at operating temperature. Otherwise measurement errors can occur.

1 Remove stop plug (1) from oil dipstick guide tube (2).
2 Insert dipstick (3) into oil dipstick guide tube (2) until the tip appears in the engine oil pan.

Wait for at least 3 seconds before pulling it out.

The dipstick (3) must be pushed and guided according to the form of the oil dipstick guide tube (2). Do not kink dipstick (3) in the process.

The collar of the dipstick grip end must not touch the oil dipstick guide tube (2).

3 Read off engine oil level at dipstick (3).
4 Determine replenished oil quantity using oil level table.
5 Adjust engine oil level correctly, if required.
6 Plug stop plug (1) into oil dipstick guide tube (2).
