Location
In trunk on left side of spare wheel recess.

NOTE: The gas pressure strut is located on the right side.

Purpose
Opening and closing trunk lid with tubular frame opposite to direction of forward motion.

Design
Double-acting differential cylinder(rod and piston side pressure connection).

Function
When the hydraulic cylinder is pressurized on one side, the hydraulic cylinder rod extends or retracts.
When the piston rod extends, the tubular frame is lifted together with the trunk lid, the gas pressure strut moves along passively.
