AR68.20-P-2050R Remove/Install Front Floor Covering (Left)










Remove
1 Remove front seat on left side
2 Remove side paneling (1) in rear on left
3 Unscrew screw from belt buckle (2) in left rear and remove belt buckle
4 Remove stowage box (3)
5 Remove cover on center console
6 Remove cover below instrument panel (5) (left)
7 Remove accelerator pedal
8 Unscrew screw and remove A-pillar paneling at bottom left
9 Separate Velcro strips (4) from floor covering (6.1) in area of dotted lines.
10 Cut floor covering (6.1) with sharp knife along dotted lines

CAUTION: Do not damage electric and pneumatic lines.

NOTE: Cut floor covering along dotted lines to avoid time-consuming removal work for heater and air conditioning system.

11 Pull floor covering (6.1) out below instrument panel (5), lift at rear and remove from vehicle
12 Prepare floor covering (6) for installation

CAUTION: Before installing floor covering (6.1) dean passenger compartment in area of floor covering.

NOTE: When replacing floor covering (6.1) cut new floor covering (6) with sharp knife along dotted line and remove section (shaded area) below heater system.

Install
13 Install floor covering (6.1) in passenger compartment and position

NOTE: Guide cut edges in front area below instrument panel (5) (arrows), simultaneously route wiring harness (7) for driver's seat and screwed bolts for accelerator pedal.

14 Insert A-pillar paneling at bottom left and tighten screw
15 Install accelerator pedal
16 Install cover below instrument panel (5) (left)
17 Install cover on center console
18 Install stowage box (3)
19 Install belt buckle (2) in left rear
20 Install side paneling (1) in left rear
21 Install front seat on left
