Emergency Call Actuation, Function

A telediagnosis call only be triggered manually
- with the aid of the pushbutton on the telephone handset, if pressed for longer than 2 seconds.

An emergency telegram is then generated in the CTEL and TELE AID transmitter/receiver, D2B (A35/17) and is transmitted to the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center (CAC).

Emergency call priority
If an emergency call with a higher priority is already active when an emergency call is triggered, this call is terminated. The emergency call with the lower priority is not started.
If an emergency call with lower priority is already active when triggering, this call is interrupted and the emergency call with the higher priority is started.

Highest priority: 1. Automatic emergency call
2. Manual emergency call with S93/3
3. Telediagnosis call with corresponding button on handset
Lowest priority: 4. Info call via corresponding menu on handset
