Location
The additional battery is integrated in the telephone transmitter/receiver and TELE AID, D2B

Purpose
Maintaining power supply of TELE AID system. If the power supply to the vehicle battery is interrupted because of an accident (battery sheared off), the power supply is maintained for a limited period by the backup battery.
