Communication of transmitter card with vehicle, function
Function prerequisites:
- With the hand inserted into door handle (capacitive sensor) (only possible within 72 h after last door is lock and when play protection not activated )
- pull a door handle
- The lock button at one of the door handles is pressed for locking the vehicle.
- The trunk lid external operation switch (S88/8) is pulled for opening the trunk lid
- The keyless go trunk lid button (S62/21) at the trunk lid lock is pressed for locking the vehicle
- The keyless go start/stop button (S2/3) at the selector lever is pressed for starting the engine (15R, 15)

Operating procedure
The keyless go control module (N69/5) causes the keyless go transmitter card (A8/2) to transmit its authorization code via radio and inductive antennas.
Thereby the keyless go transmitter card (A8/2) is sensed in the outer interrogation area (A, B, C) by the left door keyless go antenna (A2/38), right door keyless go antenna (A2/40) and rear bumper keyless go antenna (A2/31). The range for the check is 1 to 1.5 m.
The inner check request (D) is also covered by the above mentioned antennas, so that the keyless go transmitter card (A8/2) can clearly be assigned to the interior compartment or the outer area. The check area of the trunk (E) is covered by evaluation of the signals of the left trunk keyless go antenna (A2/35), right trunk keyless go antenna (A2/36) and rear bumper keyless go antenna (A2/31).

Once the keyless go transmitter card (A8/2) is located, it communicates with the vehicle by radio at 433 MHz. The radio signal is received by the windshield antenna and the right antenna amplifier module (A2/65) converts the radio signal into a data signal. The overhead control panel control module (N70) receives this data signal via a separate data line.

The authorization code contained in the signal is transmitted as a CAN message to the EIS control module (N73). The EIS control module (N73) carries out verification of the code and, if the code was correct, sends the corresponding command for locking/unlocking or for engine start via the CAN data bus.
