Temporary Interruption in the Sound Output of All Speakers
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles with the following complaints, inspect the wires near the rear SAM bracket (Figure 1) for possible damage or shorts to ground which may have been caused by the sharp burrs on the rear SAM bracket.
^ Temporary interruption in sound output in all audio sources.
^ When using telephone the caller can only be heard over the speaker in the telephone (private mode) and not over the vehicle speakers.
^ Sound cuts out when driving over bumps in the road.
Note:
No fault codes are stored in the Audio Gateway's fault memory.
Inspection / Repair Information
1. If only the insulation of the wire is damaged, properly insulate the damaged part of the wire.
2. If any wire is damaged, perform repair as described in WIS document AR00.19-P-0100A.
3. Deburr sharp edges of SAM-rear bracket.

For location of rear SAM bracket, refer to WIS document AR54.21-P-1258T (Model 211.0) and AR54.21-P-1258TA (Model 211.2).
