Fuel gauge sensor, location
One fuel level sensor is mounted in each fuel tank chamber.

The fuel level sensors determine the level of fuel in the both fuel tank chambers

Fuel gauge sensor design
The fuel level sensors are float-and-lever sensors with each two wiper contacts (potentiometer).

Fuel gauge sensor function
Each fuel tank chamber has one fuel level sensor (float-and-lever sensor with two wiper contacts). Both voltage signals (resistance values) are transmitted separately to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module, which processes the corresponding signals and transmits them via CAN databus to the instrument cluster.
