Lighting - Headlamp Reflector Loose

Headlamp Unit Reflector Loose





If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that the headlamp unit reflector is loose (Figure 1, arrows), do not replace the headlamp unit. This is due to unfavorable tolerances in the adjustment mechanism (Figure 2, arrow) or the adjuster screw has been turned in too far. To resolve, perform the below procedure.

1. Remove cover from headlamp unit.





2. Pull reflector to the rear (Figure 4, bottom arrow).





3. Turn adjuster screw (Figure 3, arrow) to the right to re-engage the reflector.

4. Install cover on the headlamp unit.

5. Adjust the headlamp unit aim.

The following allowable labor operations should be used when submitting a warranty claim for this repair.
