Commercially Available Tools:

1. Open flap of stowage compartment (1), push stowage tray (2) toward the rear and unclip from side brackets (arrows) using a mounting wedge.

Use care when unclipping the stowage tray (2) to prevent brackets (arrows) from breaking.







2. Unclip rear paneling of front seat frame (3) on both sides (arrows) and fold downward.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector for the left rear footwell lamp (E17/18) or the right rear footwell lamp (E17/17), and then remove rear paneling of front seat frame (3).
4. Remove screw (5) from outside paneling (8) of front seat frame.







5. Drill off rivet heads (10) at bracket (11) and remove bracket (11) including all panelings.







6.1. Unclip driver partially-electric seat adjustment switch (S22/1) or front passenger partially-electric seat adjustment switch (S23/1) from front seat frame outside paneling (8).

Only on front seat without code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors) or without code (242) Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory.

7. Install in the reverse order.
