GF82.60-P-3115-04TB Radio Control Panel, Function
GF82.60-P-3115-04TB Radio Control Panel, Function
The control buttons and switches of the function keypad in the radio operating module (A2) are read in by the microcontroller and made available to the central computer. Depending on the system function the button pressures are processed further in the central computer or conveyed to the further system components in the form of a data telegram via MOST (Media Oriented Systems Transport, CAN-B or CAN-C).
If the ON button on the rotary controller is pressed, the radio operating module (A2) switches on. The volume for the set audio source is regulated at the rotary controller. The main function buttons switch over to the audio source or telephone desired by the user.
If the user presses the "Sound setting" function key, the following presettings can be changed. These include bass, treble, balance, fader, volume adaptation, traffic reports and space sound. Using the "Mute" function button, the audio source currently being listened to is muted.
The radio output signal is suppressed, the CC/CD disk drive assume a pause status. If the user presses the "Tel-send-key", a telephone call is initiated or answered. On pressing the "Tel-end-key" the call is terminated.
The number block can be used for the following requirement:
^ Entering required telephone number
^ Calling up or saving a radio station
^ Direct entry of a radio frequency
^ Selection of a CD
^ Direct entry of a CD track
The cross rocker switch (cursor button) can, for example, be used for searching in the telephone book or to carry out fixed programmed commands of the respective function level. If the user presses one of the two "Search" function keys, this function is executed in the function level which is just current.
Compact cassette disk drive
The radio control panel (A2) is equipped with a compact cassette drive. All the tone and volume settings are carried out via the control panel.
Brightness setting
To be able to see the information in the display better, a gradual brightness adjustment is possible using the cross-shaped rocker switch.
Off-Board diagnosis, Star Diagnosis
The radio control panel (A2) has its own diagnostic trouble code memory.
With an inquiry of the diagnostic trouble code memory by means of Star Diagnosis the data are transmitted to the audio gateway control module (N93/1) via the MOST and can then be read out via the interface on the central gateway control module (N93). Output of the errors on the display unit is not possible.
"Traffic information" function
The way the radio responds when a traffic message is received depends on the current function status. Traffic messages are ignored if the user has not activated the "traffic information" function.
If traffic messages are accepted, the operating module changes to the "DISPLAY TRAFFIC MESSAGES"function and overlays the INF symbol in display field 1. In the process the operating module changes to the function status.
The volume of the messages corresponds to the current preset. The station name is also displayed. At the end of the traffic message, the display changes back to the function status active beforehand, the volume being adjusted back to the last selected level.
The display of the radio control panel (A2) is divided into 6 display fields.
The following are displayed:
Field 1 Function status
Field 2 User information
Field 3...6 Function groups
A few of these displays are given as abbreviations.
Function groups:
^ Autostore (AS)
^ Automatic search (Scan/SC)
^ RDS function (Regional/REG)
^ Track repeat (Repeat/RPT)
^ Select/playback track randomly (Random/RDM)
^ Skip blank tape (Scip Blanc/SB)
^ CC noise suppression (Dolby-B)
^ Traffic program (TP)
User information:
^ Arrival of an SMS message (Brief)
Function status:
^ Telephone function status active (Roaming/RM)
^ Cellular phone function status active (telephone)
