Test And Adjustment Values For Front Door:

Special Tool:

Preparation for height adjustment
1. Deactivate short stroke reduction, to do this remove door contact switch and pull off coupling

Left door contact switch (S17/3).

Right door contact switch (S17/4).

2. Move window (1) upwards.
3. Close door and in the process press the window (1) outwards slightly

The window (1) must be in front of the seal.

Close the door for the measurement only up to the first pre-catch.

4. Check adjustment of window (1) with feeler gage

Dimension (a) :Upper edge of window to retaining rail (A-pillar).

Dimension (b) :Upper edge of window to retaining rail (roof).

If measured values deviate from nominal value: adjust height.

Height setting
5. Lower the window.
6. Remove grommets.
7. Adjust window relative to the roof.

Turn adjustment screw (3) through opening in bottom of door (2).

Turning left: adjustment downward

Turning right: adjustment upward.

1 revolution approx. 1 mm adjustment.

8. Adjust window relative to the A-pillar.

Turn adjustment screw (5) through opening in bottom of door (4)

9. Move the window (1) upwards and check the adjustment, repeat the process if necessary.
10. Fit grommets.
11. Activate short stroke lowering.

Install door contact switch and mount coupling.

Left door contact switch (S17/3).

Right door contact switch (S17/4).
