Power Locks - Lock Knob Jumps Up and Down

Front Door Lock Knob





If you encounter instances in the above mentioned models of the front door lock knob jumping up and down, check the position of the sealing boot on the rod for the door lock knob, as it enters the plastic lock housing. The boot may be compressed as shown in Figures 1 and 2. Follow the below procedure to resolve.

- Pull the boot out of the plastic lock housing





- Extend the boot and reinstall the boot in the plastic lock housing (Figures 3 and 4)

- Ensure that the boot remains fully extended after installation (Figures 3 and 4)
