AR35.20-P-0115P Remove/Install Wheel Carrier







DANGER:
- Risk of death. Death may result if vehicle slips or topples from the lifting platform
- Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer


1 Attach twelve-point collared nut of rear axle shaft (40)
- See Detach/attach twelve-point collared nut of rear axle shaft and secure.

2 Remove wheel
3 Remove brake disc (61)
4 Remove brake shoes of parking brake (103)
5 Remove connecting rod of torsion bar (6k)
6 Unscrew brake control cable at wheel carrier
7 Unscrew speed sensor at wheel carrier (L6/1)
8 Unscrew camber strut (2) at wheel carrier

NOTE: Installation First position camber strut on wheel carrier

9 Unscrew tension arm (3) at wheel carrier
10 Unscrew torque strut (5) at wheel carrier
11 Unscrew track rod (4) at wheel carrier
12 Press rear axle shaft (37) out of rear axle shaft flange (7)

CAUTION: Do not damage exciter ring for speed sensor or sleeve.

NOTE: If rear axle shaft is jammed Press out and draw in rear axle shaft at rear axle shaft flange

13 Unscrew bolt of spring link (6) at wheel carrier
14 Pull wheel carrier (7) up out of spring link (6)

NOTE: Installation: When moving in the wheel carrier, do not damage the boot of the supporting joint.

15 Install in the reverse order
16 Adjusting parking brake
