GF91.60-P-4008-02Q Seat Occupied Recognition Sensor With Automatic Child Seat Recognition - Design
Component Identification:
The passenger seat occupied and child seat recognition sensor (B48) consists of a sensor mat integrated into the seat area on the front passenger seat with attendant electronic analysis system (2). The following are located in the sensor mat:
^ Foil pressure sensors for seat occupied recognition (1) for recognition of front passenger seat occupied
^ In each case two transmission antennas for automatic child seat recognition (4) and two receiving antennas for automatic child seat recognition left/right (5)
The track-type layout of the pressure-sensitive resistor structure covers the entire seat area. In the left and right half of the sensor mat one transmitter antenna (4) and one receiving antenna for automatic child seat recognition (5) are printed on the resistance structure. The resistance structure as well as the transmitter antenna for child seat recognition (4) and the receiving antenna for child seat recognition (5) in the sensor mat are connected electrically to the electronic analysis system (2) in the front passenger seat. This system is connected to the restraint systems control unit (N2/7) via a data line
