AR54.25-P-2800Q Remove/Install Combination Switch
DANGER!
Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Wear protective gloves, acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.
1 Disconnect ground cable of battery
CAUTION!
- Do not connect quiescent current retention unit as this may cause disturbance to the control module.
DANGER!
Risk of injury. Injuries may result when performing testing or repair work on airbag or emergency tensioning retractor units.
- Store airbag unit with expulsion area on top, do not subject to temperatures above 100 °C. When working on these units, disconnect the power supply.
2 Remove steering wheel

3 Remove clock spring contact
4 Remove steering angle sensor
5 Remove cruise control switch (S40/4) from steering column module (N80)
6 Unscrew bolts (3)
7 Remove combination switch (S4) from steering column module (N80)
8 Install in the reverse order
9 Perform basic programming
10 Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase
11 Check for proper function
