AR30.30-P-1010Q Remove/Install Distronic (DTR) Sensor
- with CODE (219) Distronic (DTR)







Remove/Install

1 Open hood and raise to vertical position

DANGER:
- Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Wear protective gloves, acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

2 Disconnect ground cable of battery

CAUTION: Do not connect quiescent current retention unit as this may cause disturbance to the control module.

3 Remove radiator grill

NOTE: Pry off left and right expanding clips from radiator grill.

4 Detach clutch (1) and clutch (2) from DTR radar sensor (B29)
5 Remove DTR radar sensor (B29)

CAUTION: Unscrew bolts (3) in steps, otherwise the plastic bracket could be destroyed.

NOTE: Installation: Only screw in bolts. Bolts are simultaneously adjusting bolts and are not tightened.

6 Install in the reverse order

Inspect
7 Check position of DTR radar sensor (B29)
8 Perform basic programming
9 Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase
10 Check for proper function
