Date: January 28, 2008

Order No.: P-B-91.40/144

Supersedes:

Group: 91

SUBJECT:
Model 209.356/365/372/375/376/377/456/465/472/475/476/477

Seat Belt Warning Light/Buzzer on with Seat Belt Buckled / DTC 900B or 9007

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that the seat belt warning light comes on and/or seat belt warning buzzer sounds even though seat belt buckle is inserted, the seat belt buckle cable to X55/3 connector block (driver's side) or to X55/4 connector block (front passenger) may be damaged. Fault code 900B or 9007 will be stored in airbag control module. To resolve, replace the seat belt buckle and reroute the cable along the driver and front passenger seat frames. Attach new cable (Figures 1 and 2, a) to allow the tension on the cable instead of fastening with cables ties (Figure 3 and 4, c and d).
