Brake and/or Rear Parking Lamp Flickers When Engine is Running
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that the brake and/or rear parking lamp flickers when the engine is running, the pulse width modulation (PWM) parameterization in the rear SAM is inaccurate. Correction of the parameterization or the PWM output voltage for actuation ofthe brake and rear parking lamps is possible using SDS version 10/04 or newer. Follow the below SDS path to correct parameterization:
^ Body
^ Rear SAM - rear signal acquisition and actuation
^ Troubleshooting by means of complaints or symptoms
^ Tail light
^ Symptoms: tail lamp flickers
^ DAS has corrected the parameter "voltage for tail lamps" in control unit N10/2 (rear SAM with fuse and relay module)
Only rear SAMs with the part numbers listed below are affected.
